Poha chivda !!! Atukula chuduva !!!


Poha chivda is one of the easiest and healthy snacks ..and Can be stored for days n days...
  My mom used to make this regularly n stack it for us...it was one of our favorite after school snacks ..n we sibblings always ended up fighting for the nuts n coconut pieces in it..
Simple pleasures but happiest feelings...


Ingredients
3 cups Thin poha / rice flakes / atukulu
4 to 5 green chillies slit
2 tbsp roasted chana dal/ daliya
2 tbsp raisins
2 tbsp cashews
3 tbsp raw peanuts
1/4 cup coconut pieces an inch sized ( fresh / dry )
A sprig curry leaves
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp sesame seeds
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Sugar
1/4 tsp citric acid

Method
Take the poha in a microwave safe bowl n microwave on high for a min or two until they turn crisp..
Now In a non stick pan  ..add oil n heat it ...once warm add the mustard seeds..allow them to pop...

next add in the green chillies and curry leaves...fry them for a min or two...later add in the peanuts n roasted chana dal...once the peanuts and daliya are fried to golden , add raisins and cashews...fry them well, once the raisins puff up add sesame seeds ..

This takes hardly a min to fry..
Now add the turmeric, stir well ..

later add the poha n toss until they are mixed well with the tempering...
Keep it on low ..

Now take salt , sugar and citric acid on a flat surface n crush them with a rolling pin until powder ..
Now sprinkle it on the poha mix n toss..
Check n adjust the seasoning..
Cook for a min on low ..
Now turn off n cool it to room temperature..
Once completely cooled ...store n cherish ....
